near capital lake, which i have walked as far around as possible. it’s within walking distance (for me) of the capital building and some cool old buildings and homes designed by washington state architects and historically significant architectural geniuses a really long time ago. i love history and this city has a lot of great places with old daguerreotype photographs from the 1840’s and up, as well as more modern photos and artwork from our territorial history. tomorrow, the 8th of december, is the annual holiday historic home tour, starting with an open house at the bigelow house museum, and a tour of the remaining homes of our state’s pioneering families.

This is our fifth time in this hotel so that should say enough. We would not be coming back if it was bad. It is not 5 star new hotel, but it is clean, good location, comfortable and good price... That is all that we need.. Sure, there are things that can be better like breakfast, few upadtes, or staff could be more friendly, but overall it's good. And that is not why I gave 8. It is not 10 because simply there are better hotels but this one is very good and we will come back again, I am sure.

Manny was very friendly during check in and check out. the breakfast was enjoyable and delicious. the room was clean. we would have loved to be there longer but we had places to go. in at 3 and out by 12 was so leisurely, not rushed. we had time to walk around the neighborhood and part of the lake. we would like to come again!! coffee and creamer in the lobby available in the evening was superb!

Linda

The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of Capitol lake. It was quiet and nice to have all the little things provided, coffee microwave and fridge, soaps and shamppoo in the batharoom. There were extra towels in the room, very nice! It was easy to use the parking garage and go right up to my room, also the security was very good.

The location was great -- close to the Uptown Grill and the Dancing Goats Cafe. Also very close to the Farmer's Market, the waterfront, and the Capitol. Also wanted to give a shout -out to "Manny" on the front desk. Extremely friendly and helpful!
